Gareth Franks - better known as Gaf has been one of the best known least known underground bass players in the country now for some 10 years. Having provided low end for an endless list of players and styles from finger funk to europop his tasteful yet technical style always seems to win fans.
Currently playing for the huge selling melodic rock band Doublecross, Gaf is giving his unique melodic yet aggressive funk based approach a real work out! If you've seen the likes of Flea ,Bill Gould , and Cass Lewis play then you owe it to yourself to see this guy!

Over the years Gaf has been associated with a wide range of kit but throughout all the changes one thing has remained constant; that is the now slightly battered sonic blue Fender Jazz Bass 60s reissue that has been to every gig and studio session for over a decade, fitted with all the standard Jazz upgrades; EMG pickups BadAss bridge, Hipshot D tuner etc this bass became the voice of many of Gafs works particularly in seminal '90s rock act Scream.
