This is the newest acoustic artist to jump bang smack into
the middle of the music scene in Leicester, England. Katie
has been performing for almost two years now. She has written
over 100 full and part songs, with influences from artists
like- Alanis morrisette, the eagles, Jessica harp,the rolling
stones, bon jovi, admiral twin, The Beatles, Hanson, Nora
Jones and much more has been combined in to an acoustic master
piece! with hard hitting vocals, soothing harmonies, and strummy
acoustic songs.All the songs are written by Katie Skilling
and aim to bring happiness, entertainment and peace to all
listener's.
Katie Skilling has already begun to play shows/gigs outside
her home town of Leicester and is hoping for some pretty
huge shows this year. For example Katie has emerged from
a music course in the UK called "access to music"
and has a massive massive opportunity to play a national
"access to music" show held at Leicesters biggest
concert hall - "De Mont Fort Hall."
Kate also auditioned to play at Tulsa's annual Fan Fest!
(a big young musicians festival in Tulsa,Oklahoma,USA.)2003.
