I am originally from Leicester where I studied a BTEC National diploma in Music Technology combined with City & Guilds Sound Engineering parts 1,2 & 3. I recently moved up to Manchester in September 2003 to study a HND in Audio & Visual Systems at Salford University. I also completed 3 months work experience at Formation Records in the summer of 2002 which not only helped me immensely with my DJ?ing and production skills, but gave me an insight into the Drum n Bass scene not only around Leicester, but the UK. I am currently playing out 3-4 times per month at the moment, mostly around Leicester and Manchester. I have also received lots of praise from promoters like Disfunktion, praising me for my efforts in the Genetic DJ competition where I came 3rd place out of 12.

I thought this was not a bad effort considering I was on second when the venue was practically empty! I recently got my last mix CD played on an Internet radio station BAREBASS.COM by DJ Ninja from Leeds. Apparently my CD was selected out of 12 others, received in just one day! A recent review printed on http://www.s7uk.co.uk/html/dis.html for my efforts at Rotation, held on Friday 12 Sept. 2003, quoted me playing ?an outstanding set?. After hooking up with MC Ray Ray back in September 2003, we decided to start Kai-Zen. This would play host to the best in all styles of Drum n Bass with different guests every two weeks. After the massive success of the first event back in December 2003 with APB, Juvenile and MC Biggie, we decided to go more regularly at the intimate and stylish Scubar venue in Manchester.
The follow up played host to Generation Dub, and MC Navigator. I also present radio shows for www.grandtheftaudio.co.uk (every Monday 4-5 am/pm and Shock FM Manchester (www.shockfm.co.uk). ShcokFM is my universities station, I was given 4 shows (every Friday 9-12 midnight) this was because they can only afford to run for 1 month per year. This ran throughout November 2004, I had guests such as Dj Deval (12th roundrecs/industry artists), MD (Soulu:tion resident), Bane (Easternbloc recs), Dj Redeye + Suddz (Rollingsoundz/Industry artists) as well as Mc Madrush (Industry artists).

This was a great success and I received a lot of praise for my presenting skills. The Kai-Zen presents shows are still achieved on the shock website so feel free to take a listen Recently i have gained a new residency playing liquid DnB at Font bar in Manchester for a new promotion call ?breakfast? too. I am currently looking to play more and more different promotions, and with praise from the promoters of ?Random?, ?Sunday Amen?, ?Impact?, ?GutterFunk? and ?Industry Artists?.
