"Saint Simon" was formed in 1998 playing in various Leicester locations such as The Shed, The Charlotte and Leicester Univ. Taking a sabbatical Doug (Guitar) lived in Germany playing for a German band. James Whittle (Bass) was in France writing songs, Buckley (drums) defected to another band for a year honing his craft and Nick Lowe (singer) writing songs, playing guitar. Now they’re back and hungry for Leicester.
Saint Simon’s is an indie band whose influences range form REM, Led Zep, DJ Shadow, Longpigs, Pixies, the Roses and the rest of music history. You wanna hear some demos then go to:
