Shola are a band of professional musicians who specialise in “live” playing, recording and performing their album, popular Film and Bhangra music. Now the band writes and performs there own material and have released two albums: “Munda Chad Ke Punjab” in Punjabi/Urdu and “Qatra Shabnam Ka” in Hindi (Popular Re-mixes), and their third album, “A Baija Mere Khol” released in Pakistan by NMC. This has established them as one of the foremost exponents of popular Asian music. Shola's special blend of music, which combines modern instruments and sounds with traditional, acoustic Asian instruments, has seen the band increasingly in demand at venues and events with a reputation for promoting good music.
As well as making regular appearances on Prime T.V, ARY, Zee television and radio, Shola have performed nationally and internationally at some of the most prestigious venues in the land with many great artists. Their musicianship and range of material allows them to play “live” to any audience that appreciates Asian music at its best. The lead singer, M. Sarwar is a U.K based Asian artist, also singing for Films, as a play back singer. Shola are, without doubt, one of the most versatile bands around.
